......and I promise that I might shed light on stuff ......first I need to ramble around peeking down a few rabbit trails and wrapping my own head around it....the tradgedy@ the D.C. naval yard is just beginning to unravel & I haven't paid too durn much attention to the news reports yet...

because the FIRST report is generally like that old "DEWEY BEAT TRUMAN" headline....I've discovered that by ignoring the first report spares me from burning inaccurate information into my brain causing me to run around like most folk repeating falsehoods and refusing to acknowledge reality (gives sideways glance to followers of several persuasions whose thin skins I shall refrain from shredding for now) ....bottom line ...IMHO....waiting until several reports from different news outlets then looking at similarities whilst disregarding statements unique to just one)....
.....so now that more info is out there....the professional investigators are starting to release some of their findings ....and nancy grace hasn't started screaming at the camera yet....bless her heart but can't she tone it down a notch....seriously she's yelling with that angry snarl like the viewer stood her up for the homecoming dance....and she bought a new dress...RELAX NANCY....dulcet conversational tones...the hearing impaired have closed captioning dear....anyhow soon the picture will start developing ...we'll know soon enough...
....so let's all take a deep breath...gather our thoughts and....(unlike congress) take a holistic look @ some issues....FIRST...my feelings on FIREARM SAFETY/CONTROL is very much like my politics (please scroll down to my earlier post about THE BOWLING SHIRT PARTY).....on the far left or far right there are no points....the majority,huddled masses, middle class ...i'm cool with whatever you feel referring to most AMERICANS as....I am 100% for the 2nd amendment...no problem there for me....I also don't mind the PASS/FAIL no info collected REAGAN signed sealed & delivered Brady Bill....hey!!! RON took one for the team and Brady got messed up bad......nothing is perfect....no system foolproof (fools being in the upper 3% creativitywise) but I had no problem with the present administration saying we don't need new laws merely dialogue as to how we can enforce existing laws more effectively....
...I feel certain that statement got negative reactions from the gutterballs on the far left and far right.... let's get real!!! how long are WE THE PEOPLE gonna allow those two loser minority factions stress us folks up here on the waxed hardwood?????? truth is..
1- the NRA is a lobbying group for gun manufacturers
2- PETA are silly folks that don't understand BAMBI was a feature length cartoon.

.......violent convicted felons, child molesters & persons adjudicated psychologically dangerous to themselves and others WILL get their mitts on dangerous stuff but don't it make sense to NOT at very least attempt to lessen the frequency??? (anyone who disagrees with that please stay after class and explain it in my comments section)...since the NRA thru membership roles, factory warranty cards etc. already posseses a whopping big database on firearm ownership (would you like to SUPERSIZE that comprehensive registry Mr. LaPieere?) and that post 9/11 NSA on steroids we can't do anything but accept now can get it anytime they want.....let's cut thru the conspiracy theory hysteria and understand.....in AMERICA you pass a simple test and get a permit and if caught operating a motor vehicle without said permit you get orange coveralls and have a sleepover with others who didn't follow the rules...if someone goes to acquire said permit and the computer database uncovers they have a long history of being a lot of fun at parties but somewhat reckless with traffic signs, shrubbery and other citizens (who incidentally have their own CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS to walk down the sidewalk without receiving a SUV enema from said party animal) then a permit shall not be issued....by the same principle if someone wishes to purchase a firearm and by the parameters of that FFL 7743 form they qualify then they can have it....UNLESS the call-in background check reveals they have a history of naughtiness involving weapons or have been examined and adjudicated mentally unstable....not like aluminum foil (shiny side out) eccentric unstable....but the voices stopped coming up with fun ideas and somebodies gonna lose an eye unstable.... in those cases...NO!!!! none for you....
....WITH FREEDOM & CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS COME RESPONSIBILITY.....what happened today @ the naval yard is tragic....my prayers go out to those directly or indirectly involved and/or affected....again IMHO there has been too much non-productive fingerpointing and 'potstirring' from those residing in the gutters to the left and right...shouldn't we have enough respect for ourselves to each individual do their small part....maybe assist another human being in these stressful times in decelerating highstrung emotions and maybe....just maybe....avoid such tradgedies,,,,
